#36: College, a new beginning
College is indeed the best place to get “educated,” if you know what I mean. Unfortunately, I was still entering as a dunce.
Here we go with the next phase of my life. I am looking forward to completely finishing my story and while we’re through a great deal with it, we’re not quite at the end yet. Let’s continue.
Watching American Pie back in 1999 made me greatly regret not having sex in High School. And yet…maybe it was a blessing at the time. The teen years are still very early to risk anything such as pregnancy and STDs. Besides, how great could the sex be anyway? That sex scene between Thomas Ian Nicholas and Tara Reid towards the end of American Pie in the bedroom was one of the most awkward and unsexiest things I’ve ever seen.
In my opinion, there is a better place to lose your virginity…the only place, really. Give me a C! Give me an O! L! Another L! E! G! E! What’s that spell? C-O-L-L-E-G-E! Yay! Indeed…college is exciting times. It seems you can’t lose and that everyone is fucking everyone there.
My college experience was one of the best and happiest times of my life and I loved it. Granted, I ended up going to a one year business college, but it didn’t matter. I was given a brand new fresh start in a new environment where no one had any previous conceptions of who I was. In elementary through High School, you grow up with the same people for many years and your reputation hangs onto you for a loooooong time.
There were some additional benefits, too. It was primarily a girl’s school (until they went co-ed at some point) and even when I entered I was only one of five males in my class and the rest were all female. How could anyone argue with those odds? Then again, this is “me” we’re talking about here. Mr. Nice Guy. Someone who might get a fool’s mate lay every now and then, but will undoubtedly get bested by an alpha male no matter what environment it was in.
I would get educated about that the hard way with the next girl I would meet.
