Introducing the V-Carded! Hall of Shame: people, characters and media brainwashing men
Men are being more and more exposed to poor role models on television and in Hollywood, and I point out the culprits. Introducing the V-Carded! Hall of Shame!
I think the reason that there are so many guys out there who aren’t getting laid regularly is because their minds are polluted by the wrong people and information on seduction, attraction and romance. There’s sooooo much bad advice out there.
- “Men need to be in touch with their feminine side.”
- “Bring her flowers.”
- “Give her compliments.”
- “Always tell her what you’re really feeling, don’t hide anything.”
- “Call her every hour/day.”
What happens is that above marks a guy as a “nice guy.” He’s needy for acceptance and loses his masculinity and everything that flips on attraction switches in women. He tells her his feelings for her far too early and misinterprets her intentions (sometimes she just wants to get laid, too). They become her “girlfriend,” not boyfriend. Nice guys are boring, and I should know…I was one. Look up at the title of this blog and ask me how that worked out for me. If you don’t want to take my word for it, then take the word straight from the horse’s mouth.
So who’s to blame for this brainwashing? Women are particularly bad at giving advice to men, especially mothers, as they’re only conveying what they “think” they might like versus what they actually respond to or get turned on by. But no, they’re not to blame….there is a much bigger culprit at work here.
And that’s the MEDIA. Movies and TV shows that portray men/fathers as bumbling idiots. Morning shows like The Today Show, Dr. Phil and The View who look down on male sexuality and portray men as “perverts” or “sex deviants” and women as “victims” (which should be considered insulting to female sexuality). Worse of all, Hollywood characters that act like complete wussbags…..and in typical Hollywood fashion the girl swoons and they end up together. This is sending the wrong message to impressionable men who believe this is how romance really works, and then they don’t understand it when he watches women fall for the very “assholes” they “complain” about and not them.
Thus, I’m introducing the V-Carded! Hall of Shame. The recipient of the award can be a fictional or a real life person. These are the people who should be ordered to tuck their penis in between their legs and keep it like that. The ones who would NOT be getting laid in real life, and poor role models for men.
We begin with our first award tomorrow, and you’ll be amazed at how the biggest iconic villian in science fiction can start out as such a creepy dooshbag.
