Oh boy, here we go. Not surprisingly it’s Dr. Phil this time.
I just got wind that if it hasn’t played already, Dr. Phil is airing an episode today called “Women Beware!” Here’s the description…
Women beware: Men are on the prowl! Some guys win your heart and dupe you for thousands of dollars, while other men learn the slick techniques of pick-up artists so they can get you in the sack! Go inside a classroom where single men are being taught The Mystery Method — a step-by-step technique on how to meet, attract and date beautiful women. The instructors say this method teaches guys to be more confident. When the students hit the bars, will The Mystery Method help them land a lady? What do the women think of their techniques? Then, meet Ross Jeffries, the self-proclaimed “Father of Seduction.” He says he’s taught thousands of men to seduce women through language. Now he fears that he’s created monsters, because many of his followers are seducing woman through deception, and he says that’s exactly what The Mystery Method is all about. A heated debate ensues between Ross and The Mystery Method instructors, Nick and Scott. Is Ross’ technique actually as benign as he claims? And, Victoria says she fell in love for the first time with a guy whom who she thought was the perfect man, until he she says he ended up scamming her out of $100,000. Did Victoria miss the warning signs? How can she pick up the pieces of her broken heart and move on? If you’re a lady looking for love but don’t want to find heartache, you won’t want to miss this show!
I love the concept of the last guest. That’s a SCAM artist, not a pickup artist. It doesn’t surprise me, if the show was just about the pickup artist, just what do women have to fear? Having a good time? I just scheduled this show over the internet to record on my Tivo at home (god bless our modern age), so provided that works out I’ll be giving my full thoughts later on.
So if you’re interested, this show is playing today (if it hasn’t already)…check your local listings for channel and time, blah blah. Oh, but before you watch it, maybe you should see what Style sent out in an email many months ago…
I received a call from two producers on the Dr. Phil show. They wanted me to come on and discuss The Game and the community with Dr. Phil.
However, the more I talked to them, the more it seemed like a set-up. So I declined. Instead, they got two of the people in The Game to participate.
And they did a few sneaky things, according to those who were on the show:
1. They filmed some guys sarging, but planted women with secret cameras in the club.
2. They didn’t tell one of the PUAs that another guru was going to be on the show, then they encouraged the guru to be adversarial. The result was a PUA slugfest that sounded like a bad day at Project Hollywood.
3. They brought out a woman at the end of the show who’d been hurt by a man who was NOT in the community to confront these guys.
